Through our 360º video, we showcased the student experience at Japan House at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign by filming during the ARTD 209 course. Japan House offers a 16-week course that teaches the Way of Chado, or the Way of Tea. The Way of Chado course at Japan House introduces students to the study of Zen aesthetics and philosophy, as well as special rituals and equipment for serving a bowl of tea.

By showcasing this unique course, we hope to inform students of the creative and diverse curriculum offered at the U of I. Additionally, Japan House is a hidden gem in the Champaign-Urbana area for local residents and tourists to visit. Apart from the beautiful scenery, it has a rich cultural background that introduces people to the beauty of the East. Giving a sneak peek will hopefully spread the word and attract more visitors to the area.
